Vehicles damaged by vandal at Maaco

On the bright side, more than a dozen victims of an outburst of automobile vandalism in the Northeast last week didn’t have to pay for towing. Their cars were already at the body shop.

Sometime late on April 6 or early the next morning, vandals broke into the yard at Maaco Collision Repair, 9909 Bustleton Ave., and smashed the windshields of at least 13 vehicles, ranging from a 1999 Mercury to a 2015 Honda. The proprietor had left the shop at about 8:30 p.m. and returned at about 7:30 a.m. to find the damage. Police found a footprint and handprint on the hood of one of the cars and are searching for more leads. Call Northeast Detectives at 215–686–3153 to report information. ••
